How To Make Coconut Chocolate Doughnut Holes

This donut hole recipe makes delicious donuts rolled in desiccated coconut to add texture and a bit of sweet and nutty flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp margarine
  • 2 cups desiccated coconut, flaked or shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking soda in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla, milk, and margarine into the flour mixture.
  4. Continuously stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  5. To make doughnut holes, begin forming the dough into small balls.
  6. Roll the balls into coconut flakes.
  7. Place balls evenly onto the baking sheet.
  8. Place in oven for about 20 minutes.
  9. Serve
